Deerfield-News.com has obtained the first public records of our recent requests about train incidents/accidents in the tricounty area from BSO.

.In our public records request from BSO about train accidents we have received the following statistics and information. As all South Floridians know the last several years have brought a rash of train-related accidents and deaths,  Most of which are suicides by train. The others appear to mainly be drivers trying to beat the gates and driving around or under the train gates.  The NTSB is still investigating other incidents involving recent train accidents.

THESE NUMBERS ARE FOR BROWARD COUNTY ONLY. OUR COUNT FOR DEATH BY TRAINS IN THE LAST 4 YEARS IN THE TRI-COUNTY AREA IS FORTY THREE.
