TONIGHT THE 57TH ANNUAL GREATER POMPANO BEACH AND LIGHTHOUSE POINT BOAT PARADE COMES TO DEERFIELD BEACH

Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach, Fl-South Florida is getting ready for our annual “Christmas Boat Parades”. Tonight is the 57th annual Greater Pompano Beach and Lighthouse Point Holiday Boat Parade. This is the longest consecutively-running boat parade anywhere in America.

Deerfield Beach residents will be able to view the parade as it ends north of Hillsboro Boulevard at Sullivan Park. Deerfield Beach will have the Hillsboro Boulevard Bridge in the upright position starting a 6.30 until 9.30 pm. Be prepared for possible traffic delays especially if the water main break remains an issue out west on Hillsboro Boulevard. The parade will start in Pompano Beach at Lake Santa Barbara at 7 pm and should arrive at The Cove in Deerfield Beach by 7.30 pm. For those trying to get to the barrier island in South Florida during the parade (east of the Intracoastal), you will need to go to Boca Raton in the north and use Camino Real or Palmetto Park Road or going south to Commercial Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale to cross.

The 57th Annual Greater Pompano Beach & Lighthouse Point Holiday Boat Parade,  by Joey Accardi Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, will be held on Friday, December 13th at 7 pm.  The parade starts at Lake Santa Barbara and runs north to Hillsboro Blvd. in Deerfield Beach.

 

Both the Atlantic Blvd and 14th St. Causeway bridges will be in the upright position beginning at 6:15 pm and will remain up and impassable for car traffic until the conclusion of the parade, please plan accordingly.
