The city did not provide merit or COLA raises for a whole bunch of years, and when they finally started giving them, Miss “I lost weight and went from a copy clerk to a director”, decided that the merit raises would need to be approved by her (meaning she could fuck with your paycheck if she didn’t like you, which is a good amount of people that have no respect for her).
Also, anyone who gets over 2% raise based on a form with scores she created herself, would need approval from Mr. Hanson. Guess who are the only people he approves 3% raises to? His friends who he worked and messed with from other cities, you can ask for that as public record, not lying to you. Check Amanda Robin last few reviews and comments from Mr. Hanson. Any of his friends that have a high paying position have worked with Burgess in the past. Check their resumes, and dates on where they worked with him. You need to “s$$$ di$$” to get ahead in the DFB Tribe.
To give you a 1 family example, out of at least 20, when in 2012 Burgess decided to cut pay by 5% from every employee, Vicki Langlois (and other employees in his good books) conveniently received a raise that allowed her to take the pay-cut with no issue. Vicki Langlois is Nicole’s Giordano’s  mother, (AKA “the new Amanda”).
Yes, you read Giordano right, Nicole Langlois, City Manager personal assistant married the CGA family (Calvin Giordano & Associates). Talk about job security!!!
 When they laid off the Building Dept. employees that CGA replaced, there were at least 3 employees that could have bumped Nicole from her position at the City Manager’s office, but Burgess openly said “Nobody will touch Nicole without facing consequences”, and Amanda conveniently re-classified Nicole’s position, just so she could keep her job based on a technicality .

Thanks for the email. I assume you are a city employee? I have spoken/emailed and met with several, all off the record which is not a problem. I can keep your identity private if you want. That said it is certainly in everyone’s interest who knows things that are going on there to come out in public as a group.
We can get help from the Tv stations and State of Florida Office of Inspector General. Florida has whistleblower laws that are the only thing anyone should blow to keep their jobs and get rid of the corruption and other illegal things like nepotism that are going on.Please keep in touch.
