Deerfield-News.com-Deerfield Beach,Fl-Seems Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi has issued subpoenas to three Florida trash removal companies, of which Deerfield Beach does business with two.Deerfield-Beach is not alone in the basic price gouging,by these companies and our city commissioners and Mayor Ganz did not challenge them. The three are AshBritt a Deerfield Beach based company along with Sarasota-based Ceres Environmental Services Inc. and West Palm Beach-based DRC Emergency Services.
Today florida AG Bondi-“Sitting debris is a health and safety hazard and needs to be removed as soon as possible—but instead of doing their jobs and helping Floridians recover, apparently some contractors are delaying the work or requesting higher rates,” said Attorney General Bondi. “These subpoenas seek to answer questions about why many communities are continuing to struggle with the hazards of debris while having to contend with rate hikes.”
We had legal options as well,not sure why we want to fight Hillsboro Beach ,but not these scummy contractors trying to gouge us.That said the city of Deerfield Beach chose to acquiese and with less than good faith business tactics the recyclers have allegedely extorted via manipulating the contract and for whatever reason convincing our city Commission and Mayor into paying the new higher prices they set forth.Also below as the clean up effort continues amid the pricing scandal we took these pictures today of Dixie and 48Th a neighborhood still overfowing with debris.
